Form-Air uses the same ThermoPore micro-porous plastic technology used in the Form-N-Fit N95 respirators. A Patent Pending configuration of the filter material and powered fan assembly draws in ambient air and filters it while creating a positive pressure air pocket between the face and the transparent shield. The excess filtered air and wearers exhalent migrates through the porous elastic fabric along the sides and the bottom of the face shield as is shown in the illustration. This is the same principle used in much bulkier PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirators) often seen in medical and industrial applications.
